Thanks! These are great!
Over the weekend I coded this using your sprites:

If I use these commercially, what name do you want me to use in the credits?

Good to see my graphics are going to good use. If you use these either commercially or for non-commercial use all that is required is a credit to Marc Russell and a mention of http://www.spicypixel.net
Thanks

Wow, pretty good graphics, the backgrounds are lovely and so are the GUI’s, the sprites are good and simple and aren’t complex in an annoying eyesore way like some other “free graphics” I’ve seen.
I would really love to use these in a full, complete platform game and I’ll be sure to credit you. I’ll post it up once its finish, but to be dead honest, that won’t be for a while, as good games can take a long time, over a year, hopefully this won’t be like that, lol.
Also, I really hope you will check out my website and see my other games as well, and maybe you could possibly look into joining my team for freeware games, sorry though, non-profit. If not though, then I really hope you could possibly help me in future times if I need any with these sprites, such as if I need certains sprites that I don’t have. I hope you can help. ^_^
Thanks again.

What you have created here is simply awesome. They are so wonderful and colourful. To give them away royalty-free is truly incredible.
I gave this a mention over at

the ‘Common Public License’ in your post is broken.
May 27, 2009 @ 15:36:44
FYI…the download link is returning a “404: Page not found” error this morning…
May 28, 2009 @ 17:29:50
Actually, all of the download links appear to be broken.

Great package, big thanks to Marc for contribution. I wanted to ask, can we repost these resources to other ‘free art’ websites/databases/etc., so more people can find them ?
Sep 13, 2010 @ 21:06:25
Feel free to repost the collection on other “free” sites for distribution

I have used Gripe’s sprites from this amazing package as a worker pushing boxes in my open source Java implementation of classic Sokoban game. Here is the link to game’s repository where one can download distributable file “build/jar/storekeeper.jar” and play the game:

Mega real thanks for this awesome stuff, Marc. I hope I will improve my game later adding new features and providing web and mobile versions of this one.
Have fun!
