Creative commons images automatically matched to your website colours
The Multicolr Search Lab is a part of Idée Labs—Idée’s technology playground for visual search. With the Multicolr Search Lab, you can browse through 10 million of Flickr’s most ‘interesting’ Creative Commons images, and find ones that share the same colours. Choose up to 10 colours from a palette of 120 different shades.
Visual similarity is the degree to which images resemble each other in terms of their visual attributes. Images may have the same ‘look’ when they share characteristics such as colour, shape, texture, and luminosity (for example). Note that visual similarity does not necessarily mean similar subject matter. You may use keywords to further refine your visual search results.

Fed up with stripes, how about tartan?

Create a unique avatar for your social network and forum websites

Unique is written by Rasterboy in Flash and is great fun to play with. I have currently used this to generate a character for a logo I’ve designed I will find out if it can be used for such commercial purposes and let you know my response.
